Modale Veteran Honor Roll Square
In 1944, the city of Modale, Iowa built an Honor Roll which stood on the corner of Anderson and Main Street. It stood for years until the wood structure weathered and fell.
In our research, we found that some members of our community served in the Civil War, WW I, WW II, Korean War, Vietnam and the Global wars.
Over 490 veterans from Modale alone, have served their time to protect us. The very least we can do is to honor them.
In building this tribute to our fallen soldiers and veterans, we hope to draw families, friends and tourists to stop and pay their respects.
Rendering of the Memorial
With your donations, we will be able to reach our goal and have the Veterans Memorial Park completed for our sesquicentennial celebration in September of 2024.
Please enjoy the video of the dedication.
